not Arizona, but ...

TEXAS!

Ja ist es denn zu glauben? Ich erobere den Wilden Westen, ich fahre nach Texas! (Nur der Korrektheit halber: ich fliege natürlich). Ursprünglich wollten Marie und ich ja nach New Orleans, was aber nicht geklappt hat, weil da das Mardi Grass Festival an genau dem Wochenende ist und daher alle Hostels ausgebucht sind, schade. Als weiteres Reiseziel hatten wir Phoenix in Arizona angedacht. Leider fanden wir keine passenden und günstigen Flüge, außerdem sollte es an genau diesem Wochenende dort regnen (super: Arizona, der Staat mit der höchsten Sonnenscheinquote und genau wenn wir hinwollen, soll es regnen, prima!). Dann haben wir weitergeschaut und fanden sehr günstige Flüge nach Houston, Texas - die waren auch zu guten Zeiten, damit wir auch genügend Zeit vor Ort haben (jetzt genau 2 Tage). Alles gecheckt, gebucht und eingetütet. Hostel gabs auch günstig zu haben - was will man mehr? Nun lassen wir uns bei gemütlichen 16° die Sonne auf die Häupter scheinen - Sonnenbrillen werden eingepackt und ab gehts!

Can you believe it? I'm conquering the Wild West, I'm going to Texas! (actually I'm flying though) Originally Marie and me wanted to go to New Orleans to see the Mardi Grass festival but the hostels were all booked out and it wouldn't be fun without a place to sleep. Our next thought was Phoenix in Arizona, but the flights were way to expensive and not on the right point of time so we would have had just a day in the city itself - kind of senseless to do a five hours flight just for one day but anyways. Besides the weather should be bad in Phoenix that weekend, a lot of rain and clouds - we don't really need that! So we went on with our little search and finally found good deals on flights and hostels in Houston, Texas so we decided to go there from Saturday till Monday. I'm really excited and can't wait to go there - it's such a big city (I think the fourth biggest in the States!)

Houston at night, it's just another skyline but it will be great anyways!
